Participants in this EXPRO Seminar includes eight Vietnamese companies, namely Anh Thy, CNS Amura, ThuanThuan Thanh (Saigon Rack), Mida Precision Mold, Mai van Dan, IMECO, Tri CuongIndustrialand EMTC, together with companies from Indonesia, Pakistan, South Africa and the Philippines.

The five day Seminar was guided by CBI Experts Julian Lawson, Ngo Van Tau, Margot van Gastel, Imtiaz Rastgar, Jan Oude Elferink, Peter Lichthart Allan Gozon, together with Cor Dieleman, CBI Program leader of the Export Marketing Program Engineering Asia.

During the Seminar, the EXPRO participants have been led through the process of buildingtheir Export Marketing Plan,trainedon Cultural Sensitiveness needed for export sales, Buyer behavior, Trade Practices etc. The group visited the production company Intergas and also spentone afternoon at the Technical Industrial Fair in Hardenberg, the Netherlands. Participation in this regional Trade Fair for sub-contracting and networking was expected to prepare the group for their entry to European trade Fairs.

The EXPRO Seminar is part of a four year Export Coaching Program (ECP) during which small and medium sized companies (SMEs) in the Engineering Sectors are selected, coached and mentored by CBI Experts to become stable exporters and achieve their export led growth. The present group will also participate inthe local trainingsby CBI Experts on topics as Market Research, Process Controland Trade Fair Participation. The total group of ECP companies is 15, including above companies and also Nhat Long, Hai Ha, Le Group, Tomeco, Minh Hoa, AMA parts and Hong Ky.

Besides the Engineering Sectors, the CBI offers Export Coaching Programs (ECP) in a number of other sectors, including the ongoing ECPs for Home Decoration, Textile and Garments, Food Ingredients. CBI also works with local Business Support Organizations (BSOs), such as VCCI, HAME, SIDEC, Viettrade, HTPC, ITPC and VEIA to transfer theknowledge and sustain the development for the local private sectors.
